What is Character ID, and how is it different from a reference image?

A reference image guides one generation from one visible angle. Character ID trains a reusable identity from a broader photo set, saves it to your Character library, and lets you select it again without rebuilding the same reference set for every image.

How many photos do I need to train a Character?

Vuppo requires at least 10 photos and accepts up to 40. We recommend 16-20 useful photos of the same person because varied angles and expressions give the trainer broader identity coverage than repeated near-duplicates.

Which photos produce the best Character results?

Use recent, sharp photos with one person in each frame, a clearly visible face, varied angles and expressions, and at least some wider framing. Avoid group shots, repeated poses, heavy filters, harsh shadows, motion blur, sunglasses, masks, and cropped or obstructed faces. A smaller clean set is better than a larger inconsistent one.

How do I use my Character after training?

When training is ready, open the Vuppo image workspace, select the Character ID model, choose the saved Character above the prompt, and describe the new scene. The Character supplies the identity while your prompt controls the setting, outfit, composition, and lighting.

How long does Character training take, and do I need to keep the page open?

Training runs asynchronously, and completion time varies with the photo set and current provider queue. You can leave the page after the job starts; training continues in the background and the Character library updates when the identity is ready.

Will the face be perfectly identical in every generated image?

Character ID is designed to keep the person recognizable, not to copy pixels from the training photos. Extreme angles, dramatic style changes, face obstruction, unusual expressions, and weak training sets can still introduce drift. Improve the photo set or simplify the prompt when likeness falls away.

Whose photos can I use for Character training?

Only use photos you own or photos of a person who has given you permission to train and use their likeness. Vuppo requires you to confirm that permission before training begins.

Can I use Character ID for video generation?

Character ID currently supports image generation only. For video generation, you can create or select an Element from the asset panel and reference it in the prompt in supported video workflows.
